I would first find out what the student knows and go from there. Depending on the type of hurdle we'll be attempting, either drawing up practise questions or simply finding new ways to explain old concepts would be two of my approaches. With GCSE and A-level, often the results come from a deep understanding of core concepts and then lots of practise implementing them. I will try to keep the lessons interesting and fun while working with the student to get the best results possible.
I graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2.1 in chemistry in 2018 and am currently studying medicine at the University of Warwick. I achieved A*AA at A-level, with the A* in maths and am offering maths and chemistry tutoring for GCSE and A-level students. I am new to tutoring but have worked as a peer mentor at university and ran a science club at school so am no stranger to teaching and helping others academically. I am enthusiastic and patient and really love teaching.
