About Emile
Hi there! I'm Emile Coetzee, a South African and 26 year old tutor. I love writing in all of its forms, from the beautiful emotions of poetry to the simple and yet efficient use of casual conversation, to the same conversation in polite and official words. The same meaning, an entirely different atmosphere.
At the end of the day, writing is the process of taking emotions and ideas, and recording them down for another person to experience, and no two readers experience it the exact same way, from astounding stories to work emails.
I want to help others find their narrative voice and begin the journey to master their writing. After all, the world runs on stories, and writers are the ones who ensure they cannot be forgotten.

I am a creative writer with three years of work experience in writing, four years of helping my university colleagues with their writing projects, two years tutoring kids (ages 8 to 14) and over seven years as a student that needed patience, understanding, and a kind but firm voice to help me progress.
I have a bachelor's in Creative Writing and Journalism, a MOHRE certified Private Tutor License and a lot of passion for writing.
As someone with ADHD and Autism myself, I am very familiar with the feeling of frustration and bitterness that builds when subjects don't click and learning becomes a difficult climb. Despite that frustration, I learned to love writing and I hope to help others, whether it is to find that love or to reach the finish line.
My lessons are tailored to the individual, and may cover English, Creative Writing, Poetry, Story Writing, Genres, Planning, Critical Thinking, and Reflective skills. I open my lessons to all ages ten and higher, and adjust my classes to suit the subject, age, and focus of my students.
My first sessions are for discussing what my students want out of each session, and to determine the best ways to teach them the subjects they are interested in.
