About Jess
I am an English-Chinese bilingual arts and humanities graduate, born in China and raised in the UK.
I studied Criminology and Criminal Justice at university because I wanted to learn more about the world and society we live in.
After graduation, I went to work in education because I believe that the key ingredient for individual and collective success and prosperity lies in more accessible, higher-quality education for all.
I am currently working and living in London, and able to offer lessons online.
I would be a great tutor for students who are passionate about English literature and language learning (my A-level score for this subject was A* - 96%), eager to learn about the social sciences and criminology (I graduated with a 1st from my BA degree and a Merit from my MPhil degree in these subjects), with a curiosity for how these subjects can apply to real life.

My technique is to ensure that you understand the syllabus to maximise study time and ensure complete coverage of knowledge points.
I am patient and kind, and I will tailor our lesson contents and speed according to your needs. I am also a bilingual speaker in English and Mandarin Chinese, so I understand the difficulties of studying in another language!
Our lessons would be between 45 minutes to 1 hour long, or longer if required.
I am a tutor for Action Tutoring and have experience mentoring students from ages 10 to 18. I would be able to offer lessons for students of all ages, up to A-level at the moment.
