About Alexandra
Right now, I am completing my senior year of college as an English Education major. Throughout my educational career, I have actively studied English for the past seven years. I was in both Honors Composition as well as Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition in my high school years and scored a 4 out of 5 on the Advanced Placement exams for each course. I also was an active member of the National English Honors Society in high school and graduated with a 4.2 GPA. Currently, I have finished my student teaching internship at the middle school level and will be continuing my internship for the next year at the high school level until I graduate in the Spring of 2024. I have been nominated to my university's Dean and President's list consecutively each semester, and am also working toward my goal of becoming a professional writer and public speaker.

In my lessons, I know that students often do not enjoy just sitting in lectures. I want my students to feel actively engaged in their learning, and set goals for themselves that we will strive to not only meet, but excel together. My main tutoring is for students in middle through high school levels, and I like to set milestones for students and have discussion-based conferences to assess whether or not they are enjoying the activities planned, as well as where they feel in their learning journey.
