About Myat (Melinda)
I have casually tutored 4 students in total, 2 were in middle school and 2 were in high school, all which have lasted for several months. I have taught and prepared them for exams and the courses they will be taking in the future. I have advised them on possible questions on the exam and the type of answers required in order to receive an excellent score. I have advised them on ways to prepare for exams depending on the amount of time they have to increase their chance of a better score. I am self-motivated and a listener. I pay attention to details and figure out how a student is struggling if the student him/herself doesn't quite know what his/her problem is in understand specific topics.

I am looking to assist middle school and high school children facing problems by clearly explaining concepts for a stronger foundation and tackling sample problems for practicality.
The first lesson or a couple days before the first lesson I will request for the student’s syllabus and ask the student the specific problems he/she has with the subject. We’ll start off with an explanation of the topic in focus, then tackle simple sample questions and build towards more difficult ones. Practicality is important and one of the best ways to find where a student’s weak points. It will also help the student quickly figure how to tackle the problems and allow them student to think for themselves in solving the problem.
My method is mentoring. I would like to hear what the student has to say and how he/she solves a problem or thinks to solve a problem before I give any advice or techniques.
