About Alexia
I am currently a junior in college majoring in mathematicswith a focus on education. So it is my dream to be able to teach math. I have also been a tutor in many subjects at my college and I have been a teacher’s assistant in a physics class. These opportunities gave me very useful experience in hands on and one-on-one study. I am excited to be able to work with more people and gain even more experience for my future career! I hope to be able to extend my love of mathematics to my students.

I will begin by assessing the students skill level and problem areas. I will bring workbooks and practice problems for the student to go through. I will work with the student using leading questions to help them find their way to the answer instead of always directly telling them what to do. I will provide them with the message formulas and information and guid them through the logic portion. Once students have a basic understanding of a subject, they only need practice for it to really sink in. I will walk through that process with them as well as assigning practice problems for individual study.
