About Lily
I want to teach English as I have had a passion for it since a young age from when I attended various performance at the Royal Shakespeare Company which sparked my love for Shakespeare. My experience with both Philosophy and Theology as well as History enables me to bring a different approach to English, as the critical analysis can be applied to form a better structured English essay and will fundamentally get the student more marks. My approach targets critical thinking and analysis to take your grades up to the next level. I tailor each lesson to a specific focus based on the students needs. Lessons are usually 45 mins (approx.) in length and cover a lot of ground in that time so be prepared to work! I received an A* in both English Language and English Literature at GCSE level and took Cambridge Pre U Philosophy and Theology and History and received a D3(A*) in both. I am currently a student at the University of Exeter studying BA Anthropology but looking to do a Masters in English Literature due to my passion for the subject!
