About Raphael
As a graduate from one of the most rigorous high school magnet STEM programs in Florida and in the country, and a freshman on a pre-medical track at the University of Florida, I assure you that I know what it means to juggle the responsibilities of every day life along with the pressure to do well in the academic setting. In terms of my history with mathematics, I began taking undergraduate level mathematics courses in 10th grade. I excelled in these courses, which include: Calculus I, II, III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. However, over my two years of tutoring students, I’ve found that I enjoy tutoring Algebra II, Precalculus, and Calculus I-III, as these higher level math courses set the foundation for and real-world application of mathematics.

In my first session with you, my goal is to gauge the strength or weakness of your fundamentals in the area of math that you are seeking help in. Afterwards, I focus on teaching the topics in a simple way, building on the strong foundation you now have by tying the lessons back to the fundamentals we covered prior. My goal is to get you on track and ahead to ensure that you leave each session ready to tackle the upcoming topics in your classes.
