Maya and I have been close friends since sharing English Literature lessons together at college. She is incredibly intelligent and takes a wonderfully kind and patient approach to teaching and explaining difficult concepts. I frequently struggled in English trying to understand different interpretations of texts, and writing cohesive, sophisticated essays but Maya never failed to break these texts down so they were manageable and easy to understand. Reading her essays was always a pleasure and I admired them so much I tended to use her phrasing in my own writing! Overall, I cannot recommend Maya enough as an English tutor as her passion and unwavering ability to empathise with your struggles shines through every element of her teaching.
