About Lena
Hi! My name is Lena, and I am currently studying Law. My aspirations in life are to become a commercial/corporate barrister, but as well, enjoy every moment!
I am a big team-player and I always work hard with what I have in front of me. For instance, last year I participated in my university's law debate competition, placing 2nd in the finals, based in the Supreme Court in London. I've also done other competitions representing my university.
In my free time, I enjoy paddle-boarding with my friends at the beach and crocheting in the evenings. I volunteer, part-time with GirlGuiding as a Leader Assistant where we do fun and team-working activities every week.

About the lesson

I will provide assistance with analysing books, e.g. language techniques and methodology; also how to structure paragraphs and essays in exams. I will explain the importance of advanced language devices and how we approach them in our writing. The main focus is what is the writer trying to portray, and what can we, as the analyser, get out of that.
I am able to do a couple of sessions a week, if needed, 1-3 hours.
I did extremely well in GCSEs and progressed to study English Language A-Level and received a grade B. English is still, to this day, one of my favourite subjects, and I understand completely the struggles that can come alongside with it.
I would love to help out any GCSE students who are struggling with any revision for English, whether that's getting started with the reading or doing practice exam questions together.
