About Mikayla
Before my current job as a university lecturer, I worked as a tutor for a few families during the pandemic and simultaneously worked in my campus’s writing center for two years where I gained more confidence working one on one with students and I emulate those practices in my lecture courses now the best I can.

I believe in a dialectic approach to teaching English/writing and that comes from years of experience in the classroom. I get to know each of my students and their process which ultimately helps me create personalized lessons/ methods for teaching them that best suits their learning preferences.
