I occasionally had trouble understanding the trickier concepts in maths, but this was not due to a lack of ability, just a lack of proper teaching. Any mathematics concept can be understood as long as it is taught properly! My lessons would be for 45 minutes each. I received a 9 in GCSE Maths and am now studying economics at a top 10 UK university.
