About Varsha
As a student myself, I feel like I understand evolving learning methods and therefore I could come up with more effective teaching strategies. My mother is an English teacher so a lot of these methods are tried and tested. I’ve always been confident in my language and communication skills and I feel this has enabled a lot of opportunities in my life. For example, going through an entire election and interview process and becoming the President of my school Student Council. Leading my school’s Public Speaking Club and getting into the university of my dreams are examples as well. Even something as simple as doing well in my Economics essay-based assignments despite not having been exposed to the subject before. I feel like I owe a lot of this to my written and verbal communication skills. It is my aspiration to support people, such that they can experience the same.

Ideally, I’d like to conduct 45 minute session for anyone between the ages of 13-18. I’ve tutored students in areas like Public Speaking before and I understand what methods work best. I have a range of resources that I’ve collected through my school years and would also be open to creating them for more specific learning needs. I can plan sessions with regards to any English language requirements including preparation for IBMYP, IBDP, SAT, ACT among others. Additionally, I can provide essay writing support. This could be for class assignments or advice on college essays. Having consistently gotten proficiency awards in English throughout my school years, I believe I am qualified for the job.
