I am a current student at Rio Hondo College working on obtaining a degree in Applied Mathematics. While attending college I have also been working as a Supplemental Instructor/Tutor in Mathematics. I have hopes of becoming a professor once I have completed my schooling and obtained a master's degree.

A typical lesson plan from me usually follows a structured frame. My plan within the session is to show you the student how to be more effective in your studying while also teaching you the content. Many students may put in plenty of hours and still find their studying ineffective, this is caused by poor studying habits. I challenge students to think critically and reason through problems independently. An example of a lesson plan may have the first 10-20 minutes reserved for note review, or a discussion of the main subject ideas that we knew prior. The big chunk of the session we will establish what we want to know. Going through various examples we will explore the many possible scenarios and equip ourselves with new creative ways to solve them. The end of our session will be a recap of our main idea takeaways and what we learned.
