I am a junior at Dartmouth College studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Human-Centered Design. I graduated valedictorian from my Westchester County high school, where I tutored over forty students in math, physics, and SAT/ACT prep. As a tutor, I like to talk to my students about the specific difficulties they are having with their coursework. Then, I go over recent work they have completed, and I have the student explain their thought process. I like to spend the rest of the session doing practice problems, encouraging the student to talk through their work as they go. I consider communication and empathy to be essential when tutoring, as math and physics can be very frustrating subjects. I can provide lessons for middle and high schoolers of all levels.
