About Nicholas
I am a recent graduate of Pomona College in Los Angeles, where I received a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science. While studying, I was an economics mentor and quantitative tutor, assisting students with economics coursework and understanding the math at the root of it all.
Now in NYC, I work as a data analytics consultant. I also volunteer as a test-prep instructor for high school students in the Bronx.

First, I like to identify a goal. Understanding often comes in chunks; grasping one piece can enable students to understand subsequent ideas easily. I like to model my instruction off that of the best teacher I've ever had, my high school AP Calculus teacher.
He mixed many mediums in his lessons. He would show the algebra behind an idea and connect it to graphical representations, all while explaining it verbally, using accurate and concise language. This appealed to every type of learner, and this pattern enabled students to improve their comprehension through other mediums.
