About Riya
I’m a friendly and patient tutor who loves helping students understand things that might not click right away. I tutor K–8 Math and English and I adjust my teaching style based on what works best for each student. Whether we’re working through homework, preparing for a test, or building stronger foundations, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and leave each lesson feeling more confident!

I make challenging concepts feel less intimidating by breaking them down into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I use examples and practice problems to help students really understand the material, rather than just memorize it. Each lesson is tailored to what the student needs, with a mix of review, guided practice, and independent problem-solving. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more confident and comfortable tackling problems on their own.
