Rarely have I liked studying. If it were up to me, I would burn my books. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of learning with Sen ma'am. Not only did she ignite a sleeping passion I had for English, but she guided me through tough times.
A teacher should be someone who steers you through rough waters, guides you to make the right decision, or, at the very least, teaches well.
Sen ma'am was all these things. I cherish my memories with her because they helped me become what I always wanted to be — a writer.

My son studied under the guidance of Saswati Sen during 11th and 12 th grade and I noticed a marked difference in his academic performance by the end of 12th grade.

But that is not the only reason Mrs Sen stands out for me as a teacher. She was far more than just a teacher, she was a Guide, a mentor and also a friend to him.
In those turbulent teenage years, she was a stabilising influence on him. I fully credit her with creating an interest in him for English and creative writing.
