About Hughie
With a strong foundation in AI, mathematics, and computer science, I am a dedicated PhD student at QUT and an experienced university lecturer. My research bridges AI, psychology, and smart transportation, and I bring years of real-world engineering experience to my teaching. My lessons are clear, engaging, and tailored to each student—whether you’re just starting university or advancing to higher levels. My teaching approach is interactive and student-centered: I focus on building strong foundational knowledge and use real-world examples, visual aids, and hands-on problem-solving to keep lessons dynamic and relevant. Lessons are typically 60 to 90 minutes, tailored to each student’s learning pace and interests. I design structured lesson plans, but adapt to individual needs, encouraging questions and discussion. I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at university level and welcome learners at any advanced secondary, undergraduate, or postgraduate stage who are keen to deepen their understanding of AI, mathematics, or computer science. My goal is to foster both confidence and curiosity, empowering each student to achieve their goals.
