About Rysa

Hello, I'm Rysa! I have recently graduated Durham University with a first class (with hons) in Psychology. I began tutoring last year and since then have guided students to achieve huge things. For example, two of my previous a level student was predicted a C/D but went on to achieve an A* in their exams, after weekly tailored sessions! My profound knowledge and unwavering passion for psychology has been ingrained over many years. My journey includes achieving an A* in psychology during my A-levels and pursuing my undergraduate degree in the same field.

My approach is to create a comfortable and collaborative learning experience. I am eager and committed to providing a positive and inclusive atmosphere to help students achieve their goals.

The sessions will be highly interactive and engaging, where we will break down and clarify complicated concepts, making them more accessible and enjoyable to understand. Every student is different, and so each session is designed and tailored specifically to you!

About the lesson

My approach is solely student-centred, focusing on tailoring the learning experience to best suit their individual needs and requirements. It is important for me to leverage their skills whilst also providing support and encouragement in weaker areas. By utilising a variety of learning tools such as visual aids/diagrams, real-life examples and interactive discussion I will be able to solidify their understanding.

A typical session will be approximately an hour, but I also offer two-hour sessions, allowing flexibility to suit the individual's preferences. Whether a broad exploration of a topic, such as memory, is needed, or a more concentrated dive into specifics like the multistore model of memory, the session's direction is entirely tailored to the student's requirements. Adapting to the unique needs of each learner, I ensure the content aligns seamlessly with their objectives.

My lessons will be for students studying up to A-level psychology.
