About Tee
Welcome to my profile! I am Tee, an undergraduate mathematics major based in Mississippi. I am passionate about sharing my love for mathematics. I currently work at my university as a peer tutor for first-generation and income-restricted students and have been doing so for about two years. I also worked with students from Grades 6-12 in the summer of 2023, teaching mathematics as well as assisting students with SAT and ACT mathematics prep. I aspire to be an educator, and I am excited for this journey!

My approach to teaching is centered on meeting my students where they are, understanding their strengths and challenges, and also adapting to their learning styles.
A typical lesson begins with listening to the student's reasons for booking a session as well as understanding the student's needs and expectations for the sessions. We then transition into a new topic, introduced through a mix of theoretical explanations and practical examples. Most of the session is dedicated to problem-solving, where I guide students through various exercises, gradually increasing in difficulty as confidence builds. We conclude with a summary of what has been learned and a preview of the next session's focus, as well as receive feedback on the session.
My tutoring is characterised by a personalised approach. I am focused on reducing the anxiety surrounding math as well as building student's confidence about the subject.
I am comfortable teaching students from Grades 5–12 in mathematics. I also have experience with SAT and ACT mathematics prep. I also tutor my peers in college from college algebra, trigonometry, up to calculus. Whether you are struggling with basic concepts or looking to excel in advanced topics, my tutoring sessions are designed to meet you where you are and help you achieve your academic goals.
