About Lisa
With 16 years of experience as a violin tutor, I have successfully guided around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them develop strong musical skills and confidence. My teaching approach is simple, structured, and flexible, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
I focus on important techniques such as posture, bowing, rhythm, intonation, and tone production, ensuring a solid foundation. I break down lessons into easy steps so students can learn without confusion. I also guide students on effective practice methods that support steady improvement.

My violin teaching philosophy revolves around communication, flexibility, and practical application. I adapt my teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that concepts are easy to understand and techniques are mastered at a comfortable pace.
Lessons focus on core skills such as posture, bow control, fingering, tone production, and musical phrasing, while also encouraging creativity and expression. I use real-life examples like performing familiar songs, collaborating with recordings, and preparing for informal concerts to make learning enjoyable and relevant.
In addition to violin techniques, I incorporate music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My goal is to provide lessons that are engaging, structured, and motivating, helping students achieve both technical skill and musical confidence.
