About Thomas
I am a mathematical researcher with a PhD in mathematics from the University of York. I have over 18 years of teaching mathematics to all age groups. My sessions are tailored around the student, both in terms of methodology and allowing them to lead through examples at their own pace. Real-world examples and occasional historical background, prevent mathematics from becoming dry.

I have over 18 years of experience tutoring students ages 4 and up, including privately, as a lecturer, and as a teaching assistant. My lessons are tailored around the student in terms of length and teaching methodology. I understand that mathematics can be a difficult subject to learn, especially if concepts are taught dryly. My teaching is therefore flexible and patient, with real-world examples given where appropriate.
