About Firdevs
I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English Literature. Then I moved to the UK for my Ph.D., where I lived for 4 years. I taught at University College London during my time in the UK. I moved to Canada 2 years ago, and last year I was doing private academic English lessons for university students. I have been doing translations from and to English for almost 13 years. I have perfect English speaking and writing skills. My last IELTS result was 8.5 overall.

As a tutor of Academic Writing and English, I would prefer to use the methods that I know to be working. English is my second language but I have perfected the use of it both in writing and in speaking. I owe this to the excellent English education I received in high school.
I am fun to work with, and I love teaching academic writing. As an academic myself, I value good writing and research skills and I would hope to help you with it.
My lessons are for university students, Master's students, and Ph.D. students in fields like literature, humanities, arts, politics, international relations, and languages. In short, I can teach academic writing in many fields except medicine and engineering.
My teaching methods will vary based on your needs. We can work on your essays together, I can revise your work and give you recommendations, but I will also help you with my own Academic English Writing Handbook that I have prepared based on my years of experience.
