About Xander
"Starting out feels a bit like untangling a knot, but we make sense of it quickly. I introduce basic lead guitar, chord transitions, and maintenance tasks during that first hour. We use my BMus background to build a strong foundation in scales, modes, and blues progressions. You will also learn rhythm guitar and barre chords as we go.
To help with your songwriting, I provide custom backing tracks so you can practise soloing at home. My 5 years of teaching experience means I can simplify complex concepts easily. Whether you want to master grade exam prep or play for fun, I am ready to guide you.
It is quite straightforward once you have the right tools. I know exactly how to get you playing comfortably."

My path began with a BMus in Vocal Performance before I spent 7 years performing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. That orchestral background informs how I teach rhythm and melodic structure. I treat every student as an individual with unique goals.
