About BENJAMIN
I am a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University (Music Education and Performance) and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Masters in Bass performance). I have been teaching students regularly for the better half of a decade and have performed with world-renowned artists and ensembles such as Jacob Collier, Teddy Abrams, The San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and the New Century Chamber Orchestra. I have extensive training in string pedagogical techniques on the double bass and use my expertise to inform my teaching on my secondary instruments.

Flexible teaching methods but always focuses on comfort and body awareness. I believe that a good set up on the instrument and a focus on foundational techniques will eliminate most barriers to great music making. I also like to encourage students to be creative, and think critically about their playing, with the goal of them teaching themselves the instrument through experimentation.

Details
Double Bass lessons are $100 flat rate, with a $25-50 fee for transportation if lessons would be preferred at another location.
Guitar, Bass guitar, and Piano lessons are all $60 per hour, with the same transportation fee applying
