About Elisia
A made to design fashion and sewing machinist with 25 years experience.
I graduated from Fashion Design diploma III at Bentley College of Tafe at 19.
My illustrations were originally what led me into the fashion design where I could learn new skills as this opened up and enhanced my love for art and design.
Shortly after having my first daughter I studied Graphic design at Charles Darwin University and intergrated my drawing abilities with digital art technology.
Working as a small business trader after my second daughter in the city of Darwin for eight years in proffesional design and alterations of clothing, I now work from home part -time.
My motivation for all that is artistic and creative is what keeps me connected to people, family and myself.

The very first lesson will be drafting a block of yourself, person or dressmaker dummy. Further lessons will learn about the body,s 3D shape and how to integrate a new design or sketch into a pattern to be made into a calico taille and ready for a dress fitting, this technique leaves little to no room for mistakes to move forward with confidence toward cutting the main fabric and sewing the garment to a proffesional standard.
the time or lessons needed will greatly depend on the chosen design but at least 6 - 8 lessons basic design draft
8 - 20 more development and sewing.

Elisia is an incredibly talented artist in many fields one of which is drawing. She is very passionate and loves to share her knowledge and wisdom giving her friends and pupils the courage to try new styles and skills. She is patient and always works with your strengths while helping you build confidence to try new ideas and techniques. I have had many fun nights with Elisia at local life drawing nights with lots of laughs creating prices of artwork with her help I am proud of.
