About Sue
I'm a practising artist and linocut printmaker, working from my home studio in Wolverhampton. I create, exhibit and sell my work locally and nationally. I also teach popular beginners and improvers lino printing workshops for adults, who are looking to learn just for fun. For 18 years I taught A level Art & Design, and was subject leader for A level Textiles design at one of the leading 6th form colleges in the country. I have an excellent track record of helping students to get into prestigious university design degrees and art colleges, and I could help you do the same.
I have a BA(hons) in Textiles Design, two teaching qualifications in post 16 education and a wealth of experience.

I'm a very experienced and engaging tutor, who aims to make learning fun and build your creative confidence.
I offer classes in drawing, printmaking and textiles surface design, including printing onto fabrics, repeat pattern and stitching and dyeing techniques.
A typical class might include demonstrations of techniques, looking at examples by relevant artists, and time to practise your new skills. You will get plenty of encouragement, honest feedback and suggestions for improvement.
My classes are best suited to young people and adults 16+ who are looking to improve their skills, learn new creative techniques, or find a new creative hobby. All lessons can be tailored to your needs. I can also help you prepare your UCAS application for Art & Design related degrees, write your personal statement, and prepare your portfolio for art school admissions.
