About Philip
Bachelor’s degree in performance 3.4 GPA
Berklee College of Music. Boston, Mass, U.S.A
Over 30 years experience with teaching (privately and in schools, colleges and workshops throughout UK) , performance and recording.
Students have been complete beginners right up to semi-professional adults.
From my own studies at Berklee, with the renowned Gary Chaffee and my own experience, I have built up a large resource of teaching materials and methods.

I use a wide range of teaching materials, both modern and drawing from the timeless classics.
Lesson structure is divided between rudiments and technique, independance, 'grooves' and timekeeping and reading, but always applied to a musical context and with examples around the kit.
I support Rock School, Trinity and ABSRM syllabuses.
Lessons are 30mins, 45, mins or 1hr.
