About Millie
My name is Millie and I’m an early years apprentice working at a pre-school. I would describe myself as a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow. Through my experience working with children in nursery settings and schools, I have developed an understanding of how important encouragement and individual support are to a child’s development. I want to tutor because I love helping children build confidence, overcome challenges and discover their strengths. My aim is to make learning enjoyable, create a positive learning environment and help every child feel proud of what they can achieve.

My approach to English tutoring is to make learning fun, engaging and tailored to each child aged 3–10. For reading, I use age-appropriate books and phonics activities to develop confidence, fluency and comprehension. For spelling, I incorporate interactive games and activities to help children learn letter sounds, spelling patterns and new words. For writing, I support children with handwriting, punctuation, grammar and creative writing, adapting activities to suit their individual abilities. I aim to create a patient, supportive environment where children feel comfortable learning, celebrating their progress and developing a genuine enjoyment of English.
