About Shivaa
I am a chartered accountant by profession but have been teaching students on and off for over 16 years across the UK and Ireland.
Teaching is something I really enjoy and I continue to do this even though I have a job! The aim is to make math approachable and easy for as many kids as possible!
I specialise in supporting students who feel anxious. I focus on simplifying concepts and building confidence.
My approach -
• Confidence is key and I focus on building this from lesson one. If you believe you can do it then you have won half the battle! I support this journey through encouragement and of course strong subject knowledge.
• Fun sessions with focus on student engagement
• Step-by-step explanation of questions and emphasis on a fear free environment where questions are very welcome!
• Personalised study plans that take into account the strengths and weaknesses.
I am pursuing counselling in my spare time and bring some of that knowledge into the grinds sessions as well making students feel truly seen and heard and supported.

I love working with students who might have a fear of maths - I always want to try and find ways to make numbers easy for them so that any deep rooted fear is washed away and they begin to treat maths just like any other subject!
