About Fred

Having completed Maths at A-level, then used it throughout my Economics Degree, my accountancy qualification and now everyday in my job, I am very comfortable with numbers.

I am also very comfortable with teaching and find seeing students progress extremely rewarding. I am patient, attentive and have a skill for simplifying complex subjects to allow students to build their knowledge step by step.

About the lesson

I used to struggle with maths throughout my school career and believed I was one of those people who was 'just bad at maths', until I had a brilliant teacher who taught me that maths is really just a series of simple puzzles that can be visualised.

I now find maths really enjoyable and rewarding and have taken the same philosophy that nobody is naturally bad at maths into all my teaching.

As part of my job as an accountant and now financial advisor, I regularly coach and teach junior staff and have always received great feedback on my ability to simplify complex subjects.

I teach online lessons for up to 1 hour for children up to 11+, helping them to build a solid foundation for maths in theirs school careers ahead.
