About Issam

As a busy student, the last thing you need is a tutor who wastes your time (if you haven't already stumbled across one!). That's why I always review a sample of the material you want to cover before accepting a lesson. By doing so, we can make sure we're a good fit and have a smooth, stress-free session that saves both of us time. This approach has helped all my students achieve high marks and helped me receive excellent reviews, as shown in the reviews section. So far, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Lebanese American University and a Master of Arts in Applied Economics from the Lebanese American University and currently wrapping up my second Master's degree being a Master of Science in Applied Financial Economics from HEC Montreal, the business school affiliated with the University of Montreal. Teaching for me is just another hobby of mine, alongside biking, running, swimming, going to the gym, and playing table tennis!

About the lesson

I have over 5 years of experience in private tutoring and hold a certification for tutoring one-on-one classes. Throughout these years I have been exposed to different types of students and managed to develop unique teaching techniques for each.
My goal is to make the material as simple, applied, and enjoyable as possible. Whether we meet in person or remotely, I'll be using my iPad for explanation. At the end of the session, I'll share everything with you, so that you can focus on the material during the session and catch up on any notes that you couldn’t write with me.
As a tutor, I take pleasure in seeing my students reach their goals as their achievements are my own!

Perfect! As a person who hasn't touched mathematics in a while and need to get back into it for computer programming, Issam has been very helpful in explaining at an excellent pace the material that I need but with easy and simple demonstrations and brought on top of that other terms that will be helpful in the future. Comes with a perspective of a person who knows how to save time in finding answers. Clearly knows the material and is good at demonstrating the solutions.

I can now practice what I need until my next tutoring session to tackle my next challenges. Happy studying!

The mentioned hourly fee is for going through the material like PowerPoints or the book. I do charge a premium on top of my hourly fee for sessions involving assistance with problem sets or assignments as I take more than normal time to prepare for the session.
