About Suhana
My passion for Economics began when I realized how deeply economic decisions influence everyday life—prices, jobs, industries, global events, and opportunities. This interest inspired me to earn a B.A. in Economic Policy, where I grew fascinated by how theory, data, and human behavior intersect. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with students from many backgrounds, helping them develop confidence in economic reasoning and guiding them through concepts that once felt overwhelming. Teaching Economics brings me constant joy because it allows me to help students see the world through a clearer, more thoughtful lens. I teach with patience, calm structure, and a strong belief in student potential. I understand that many learners find Economics intimidating at first, especially when they encounter graphs, models, and policy analysis. That’s why I break concepts down into intuitive steps, use clear diagrams, and provide relatable examples from everyday life. I encourage questions, celebrate growth, and help students build confidence through understanding rather than memorization. My goal is to make every lesson feel supportive and engaging, helping students trust their ability to think critically and express ideas clearly. Outside teaching, I stay connected to the field through economic reading, market analysis, global news, and studying topics such as development economics, behavioral economics, environmental policy, and international relations. I enjoy bringing these insights into lessons, helping students see how Economics connects to modern realities. Teaching continues to inspire me because I have the opportunity to support learners both academically and personally—helping them discover their strengths, develop their analytical voice, and approach challenges with clarity and confidence.

Economics becomes much more meaningful when students see how theories connect to the choices individuals, businesses, and governments make every day. My lessons help learners understand microeconomics, macroeconomics, markets, global trade, supply and demand, elasticity, policy impacts, development, and financial behavior through calm, structured explanations that build confidence step by step. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind economic systems, encouraging them to think clearly about incentives, consequences, and trade-offs. By using real-world examples, diagrams, case studies, and relatable scenarios, I aim to make Economics an approachable and engaging subject that inspires curiosity rather than anxiety. Lesson structures adapt naturally to each student’s level. Beginners receive clear introductions to core ideas such as scarcity, opportunity cost, equilibrium, and market interactions. Intermediate learners explore market structures, government intervention, inflation, unemployment, economic indicators, and international trade using both conceptual and mathematical tools. Advanced students refine their analytical writing, data interpretation, extended-response reasoning, and exam planning strategies to express complex ideas clearly and confidently. Throughout all levels, I provide supportive practice, careful corrections, and steady guidance that help learners build strong confidence and analytical skill. Economics lessons also help students grow beyond academics. Learners become more aware of global events, financial choices, policy debates, and the reasoning behind decisions that shape societies. Many develop clearer thinking, improved decision-making skills, and a stronger sense of how to analyze arguments. Some students even discover interest in fields such as business, public policy, finance, international relations, or development studies. My goal is to help students feel empowered, informed, and confident in understanding the systems that influence their lives. I want them to see Economics not as a difficult subject, but as a powerful tool for interpreting and navigating the world.
