About Karishma
My interest in economics began with a fascination for understanding how societies function, how choices shape outcomes, and how numbers reflect real human behavior. Over eight years of teaching, I’ve enjoyed helping students transform their understanding from memorizing definitions to genuinely analyzing economic situations. Watching learners gain confidence—especially those who once felt intimidated—is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me. My teaching style is patient, structured, and student-centered. I break down theories into simple ideas, adjust explanations to each learner’s style, and create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable thinking aloud. Whether a student needs diagrams, real-world examples, repeated practice, or discussion-based learning, I adapt to what helps them succeed. Encouragement and clarity guide every lesson, helping students develop both academic skill and personal confidence. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with economics through reading, research, and exploring real-life case studies that keep my lessons current and relatable. Teaching economics is meaningful to me because it helps learners understand how the world works while building analytical skills they can apply anywhere. I aim to support students not just academically but in their growth as thoughtful and capable individuals.

Economics becomes much easier when concepts feel meaningful, relatable, and logically connected. My lessons focus on creating a calm and supportive learning environment where students can explore ideas, ask questions freely, and gradually build a solid foundation. I simplify complex theories through real-life examples, clear explanations, and step-by-step reasoning so learners understand not just what happens in an economy but why it happens. Each session blends patience, structure, and encouraging guidance to help students feel confident in a subject that often feels abstract or overwhelming.
Beginners start by understanding basic economic principles, opportunity cost, markets, supply and demand, and simple decision-making models. Intermediate learners work on elasticity, costs, market structures, macroeconomic indicators, and analytical diagrams. Advanced students focus on policy evaluation, development economics, advanced models, essay structuring, and exam preparation. Lessons adapt to each student’s pace, ensuring they gain clarity, confidence, and strong analytical habits.
Economics lessons help learners develop critical thinking, decision-making ability, and a deeper understanding of how the world functions. Many students discover that once the concepts are explained clearly, economics becomes logical and enjoyable.
