About Gustavo
I hold a PhD in Pure Mathematics and bring over 15 years of successful experience teaching a wide range of math courses at high schools, colleges, and universities. My Master's and PhD degrees were earned at the University of Puerto Rico and the University of Alberta, respectively. I also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Ottawa. Currently, I am working as a professional and seasoned math tutor in Ottawa.

I approach teaching mathematics with a gentle and patient demeanor, firmly believing that everyone can grasp any math concept, regardless of its difficulty. I also take the time to revisit and clarify any areas where a student may have uncertainties, ensuring a solid grasp of the concepts.
I take pride in teaching a broad range of mathematical subjects with meticulous attention to detail through problem-solving and thorough explanations. My expertise spans middle school to university-level mathematics, and I specialize in preparing students for Math Contests (such as the SAT, GRE Subject tests, and competitions like Gauss and Pascal) and exams.
Let me remark that my goal is not only to ensure that students grasp a concept or subject but to truly understand it. I am committed to providing instruction that is both efficient and of the highest quality. I guide students through topics and questions step by step to ensure a deeper comprehension.
