About Lauren
I am well equipped as a tutor to help you improve your knowledge in addition to giving you study and test taking tools and approaches to learning habits that you can use for the rest of your academic career. I have experience teaching in the classroom, training other teachers, and working as a one on one coach. Additionally, I hold a degree in secondary education & History as well as master's degree in school administration.

I'm very creative, fun yet organized and structured! I have content knowledge in ancient and European history and writing many types of essays at the middle and elementary school level (grades 2-8). As I'm also an executive functioning coach (help students with ADHD) I tailor my teaching to the needs of each student so my approach may be different depending on with whom I work. I focus first on establishing a relationship with every student and our first meeting will be about getting to know the student and their strengths and challenges in their academic approaches to learning.
