About Ginger
I am an educator with a Master’s in Teaching from The Evergreen State College and a decade of experience supporting diverse learners. My background spans roles as a kindergarten student teacher, a special education paraprofessional, and a student engagement advocate. I am passionate about fostering inclusive, supportive environments that encourage curiosity and growth for all students. During my time at LP Brown Elementary, I designed and implemented standards-aligned, differentiated lessons for a highly diverse kindergarten classroom, including English Language Learners and students with special needs. I developed behavior management strategies rooted in empathy, equity, and clear expectations, helping students feel safe and motivated to learn. My role as a special education para gave me further experience delivering individualized support, collaborating with teachers, and adapting materials to fit every student’s needs. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships, open communication, and promoting a growth mindset. I enjoy working closely with families and colleagues to ensure student success, using formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and track progress. I believe in the power of positive reinforcement, hands-on learning, and flexibility in the classroom. Outside of teaching, I am committed to personal and professional growth. I seek out new strategies and resources to enhance my practice and better support my students. I aim to inspire confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning in every student I work with, helping them realize their full potential both academically and personally.

I am committed to using evidence-based teaching strategies proven to support student growth, engagement, and achievement. My lessons are carefully planned and differentiated to meet a wide range of learning needs, drawing on research-backed practices such as formative assessment, growth mindset interventions, and collaborative learning. Above all, I believe in equitable education where every student is valued and provided with opportunities to succeed. My goal is to inspire lifelong learning and position every student for academic and personal growth.
