About Lydia
I have taught ELA, music, history, art, creative writing, and various other subjects as both a teacher and substitute teacher in Ohio. I have a permanent non-tax certificate to teach in Ohio, and a bachelor's degree from Liberty University in English and Writing. At home, I have done homeschooling with each of my four daughters in some capacity. In schools and centers, I have taught PreK-12th grade students and have enjoyed my experiences working with toddlers, kids, and teens. My favorite things to do are write and edit.

I start sessions by getting to know the students and creating a whole student approach targeting their academic growth. I work with and not against the student and caregivers to have the best experience in learning. - I blend in current events and topics in our writing so it is exciting and relevant to the students' interests - A typical session would include a focus practice, goal setting, review of current knowledge, targeted work on the struggling area, and celebrating both big and small achievements - I care deeply about the physical and mental health of the students as I am a firm believer that it directly affects the students' ability to comprehend and succeed - These lessons are for anyone in elementary, high school, or lower level college courses that need assistance in the English Language Arts
