I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Reading Education. I have worked as a 5th grade teacher in a public school and have tutored privately for about two years. I have experience tutoring from K-8th.

My lessons involve me connecting literacy concepts to a child's everyday experiences to make it relatable. Any vocabulary word I teach will be accompanied with a visual and a funny story to aid in memory. Any grammar lesson will be explained thoroughly in a made-up story set at the table of the "Inventors of the English Language". Students will also get to choose what they read, so that they can see the benefits of applying comprehension strategies for the purposes of their recreational reading.
