About Carter
Hi! My name is Carter and I would love to work with you to unlock your musical potential! I started receiving voice lessons myself at the age of 11 and have been in practice all my life. I understand the benefit of having someone work with you one-on-one to get live feedback and support. Singing is one of the most vulnerable things a person can do, so I will follow your lead and teach you how to cope and work through some of the anxieties that come with putting yourself out there with your voice. My goals for voice lesson and audition prep are: 1. Make sure you have a wide variety of music to choose from for different audition settings 2. Help you hone in on breathing techniques to calm the body before and during a performance 3. Build confidence in your skills and strengths so you are ready to walk into any room, audition or not, and own it! Let's do this together!

Voice lessons are open for students ages 6-18. Voice lessons will include new repertoire, song memorization, breathing techniques, and unlocking proper chest, head, and mixed voice, as well as gaining a better understanding of some of the ins and outs of music and auditions. My approach is to meet kids where they are at and work from there, and teach with an end goal in mind. Students will always leave lessons feeling more confident about their abilities, GUARANTEED!
I am very well versed in music history and music theory as well and offer tutoring and lessons at 3 levels: beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced music makers. So whether you are just beginning or just need some supplementary class support, this is the spot for you! These lessons are most suitable for middle and high schoolers.
All lessons are virtual in the afternoons or on weekends. Lessons are 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour on a weekly basis.
