About Charlie
Teaching flute has given me the opportunity to work with many talented school and college students over the last 16 years. I enjoy making lessons interesting, interactive, and suitable for every learning level. My teaching begins with strong fundamentals, including breathing control, posture, finger movement, rhythm, scales, and tone production.
Once students become comfortable, I introduce expressive playing, articulation, dynamics, and performance preparation. I believe every achievement deserves recognition because it motivates students to keep improving.
Along with flute, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, beginner improvisation, and music appreciation. My aim is to help students enjoy learning while becoming confident and expressive musicians.

My teaching philosophy is to help students discover the joy of playing the flute while developing discipline and confidence. My methodology combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to make every lesson engaging and effective.
Lessons focus on breathing techniques, posture, finger movement, note reading, rhythm, tone quality, articulation, scales, improvisation, musical interpretation, and concert performance. Every lesson is personalized according to the student's progress.
Motivation encourages students to overcome challenges with confidence. Communication allows students to ask questions freely and understand concepts easily. Integrity helps me provide respectful guidance and equal attention for every learner.
Creative learning includes rhythm games, favorite songs, ear training, listening practice, duet playing, improvisation, and performance opportunities. I also teach recorder, beginner keyboard, music theory, sight reading, rhythm practice, and music appreciation.
