I build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment. I utilize a phonetic-based approach with strong communication skills. A typical custom lesson plan will include a check-in at the beginning of each lesson to assess the progress made. Setting clear objectives, engaging activities, and varied practice, often incorporating a mix of reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar exercises, ending the session with a review and final check-in and usually assigning homework. What sets me apart as a tutor is my nurturing personality. For me, teaching is about attentive listening, engaging, and understanding as it is about teaching. The combined effort leads to learning. My lessons are for students from elementary school onwards. I prefer to work with older students in high school (secondary school) to college and young professionals who have a sense of where they are heading in life and want that edge that helps them to stand out.
