About Cat
I have been working as a professional engineer, and I have been providing NCEA maths, physics and chemistry lessons part time since being a first year university student 7 years ago. Students I have tutored have achieved excellence marks in their exams.
I graduated with first class honours in civil engineering from the University of Auckland with a scholarship, while being on the dean's list (GPA > 8.25 out of 9.0).

My teaching approach varies based on the student's learning style and existing capabilities. As a general structure, I teach each subject starting from its core concepts, and build up on the complexity once the student is confident with the fundamental concepts.
I generally focus on providing exam-style and past paper questions throughout the teaching process as a method of building the student's understanding and confidence. Finally, for each subject I also like to teach students effective methods of making their revision own notes and how to study in their own time.
I am able to tailor the lesson per the student's needs for the specific lesson - content learning, exam preparation, etc.
