About Jesse
I began tutoring in high school to gain the A+ accreditation for college applications! I tutored full classes in summer school (middle school aged) as well as one on one elementary, middle, and high school students. In college I worked for a company called College Nannies and Tutors, where I taught a variety of subjects including Chemistry, Physics, and more! I even had the opportunity to work as a tutor for the No Child Left Behind program.
While I like to keep things professional building trust with my students is most important. From my own experience with my siblings I have learned that people open up more quickly and are more willing to learn if they feel they can trust in you. I strongly do not believe in shaming, so I like to keep my experiences with students positive and full of cheering on!

I like to get to know my student's personality through observation and conversation. As we learn, I tailor my method to build up the student's self-belief and confidence. In my multiple years of experience as a tutor, I have found that kids flourish with one-on-one attention and I grow to care for each student and their growth!
My lesson plans vary depending on what I have discussed with the parent(s) and student. I can develop teaching plans on a specific problem area or I can build a pathway to advance a student in a certain level of a course. I have taught and welcome students of all ages!
