About Toby
Having recently graduated with a Master of Engineering from Cambridge University I have a strong background in maths and physics. I have tutored three students from my previous secondary school in both A-Level and GCSE maths and physics. All three students were successful in achieving their desired grades and now have the necessary qualifications to pursue their desired careers. Having received small group teaching throughout my degree I have developed a strong knowledge of different teaching techniques and methodologies.

I am happy to give lessons to any student wishing to improve their exam technique and understanding of maths and physics. This could be A-Level, GCSE or lower. Whether you are looking to achieve a pass grade, or excel and achieve the highest grade, I am willing to help. I generally have a strong focus on exam technique and enjoy teaching in a way that both improves understanding but also exam skills. This begins with discussing current knowledge and progressing to practicing past exam questions through a series of logical steps.

Toby tutored me for my physics A-level for 2 years. Toby was brilliant at helping me visualise the question by drawing really useful diagrams and relating the theories to real life. He gave me so much confidence in my own ability which helped me so much later in class.
