• When did you start developing an interest in your field and in private tutoring?

  I have always been interested in mathematics because I enjoy the logic, structure, and problem-solving behind it. My interest in tutoring started when I realized that many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they need clearer explanations, confidence, and a method adapted to their way of learning.So i began 12 years ago.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach and the topics you enjoy teaching.

  I teach mathematics for different levels, including school students preparing for exams such as French curriculum mathematics and Terminale spécialité maths. I particularly enjoy teaching algebra, functions, calculus, geometry, probability, and statistics. I also like helping students organize their reasoning and write clear mathematical solutions.

• Did you have any role models or teachers who inspired you?

  Yes, I have been inspired by teachers who were able to make difficult concepts simple and accessible. The best teachers I had were patient, structured, and able to adapt their explanations depending on the student. This is the kind of approach I try to bring to my own lessons.

• What qualities are required to be a good tutor?

  A good tutor needs patience, clarity, organization, and the ability to listen carefully. It is important to understand where the student is struggling and to explain concepts step by step. A good tutor should also motivate students, help them build confidence, and create a safe environment where they feel comfortable asking questions.

• Can you share an interesting anecdote related to your subject or school experience?

  One thing I often notice is that some students arrive thinking they are “bad at maths”, but after a few lessons they realize they simply needed a different explanation and more practice. Seeing a student go from stress and confusion to confidence and independence is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring.

• What difficulties or challenges have you faced in your field?

  One challenge in mathematics is that students often have gaps from previous years, which can make new topics feel more difficult. My approach is to identify those gaps quickly, rebuild the foundations, and then move progressively toward more advanced exercises. This helps students improve without feeling overwhelmed.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, a specific part of your subject, or something else?

  My main passion is helping students progress and gain confidence. I especially enjoy showing them that mathematics can become much clearer when it is explained with the right method. I like creating a structured, supportive learning environment where students can improve step by step.

• What makes you a Superprof?

  I believe what makes me a Superprof is my ability to adapt to each student. I am patient, organized, and committed to helping students reach their goals. I focus not only on improving grades, but also on helping students understand the logic behind mathematics and become more confident in their abilities.
