I am a civil engineering graduate with significant knowledge in applied mathematics and statistics. I have been giving 1-1 support to adult learners for GCSE maths for 2 yeas and have around 1 years school experience working with ages 11-16 including EAL pupils.

Depending on the needs of the student, my lessons can take different approaches. Should the student be looking to get ahead and already has a keen interest and ability in mathematics, as a trained engineer I am able to provide real life examples of applied mathematics and develop understanding. If the student is looking for extra support to gain a particular grade, my lessons are focused heavily on exam technique and developing the fundamental skills needed to achieve the target grade.
