I believe that everyone learns differently. I tailor my lessons to the student, encouraging note-taking, and providing notes of my own for the student to keep and use to study.
I have a variety of tools in my toolbelt, all of which I will expose a student to in order to find what best suits their learning style. Before a lesson, I will reach out to ask
-What is it that the student struggles the most with?
-What kind of learner are they?
-How motivated are they to learn?
I ask the last question so I can be prepared to motivate them to learn, because learning should always be fun.
