People often say that students should be focused on learning and building a solid foundation in school, rather than focusing on the grades. Walk into any high school, however, and you'll find students working hard to find the easiest way to scrape by in their class with a decent grade. Eugene is one of the rare students I met that genuinely studies to learn, and cares about the value of an education over the value of the degree. He is constantly asking the "why's" and the "how's" when other people simply accept statements for what they are. This is what makes Eugene a phenomenal teacher. His focus on understanding rather than memorization help a student learn a topic and build a foundation for years to come. Moreover, Eugene is incredibly patient; just as he is willing to spend hours researching a single topic in depth, he is also willing to take the time to explain concepts slowly and methodically. Overall, Eugene is a tutor I would highly recommend to any student.
